COLLEEN MURPHY IS A QUALIFIED ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE (RAD) CERTIFIED BALLET INSTRUCTOR AND SOMATOLOGIST.

With more than 15 years experience, Colleen make use of experience to build a space that brings balance to both body and mind.

As a therapist, she has niched herself as an industry specialist. Providing para-medical treatments including sports massage, nutritional consultation and reflexology. These skills combined with her ballet teaching, provide insight into anatomy and physiology – increasing personal wellness and facilitate injury recovery for students both young and old.

PRE-PRIMARY MOVEMENT DEVELOPMENT

ROYAL ACADEMY DANCE BALLET CURRICULUM

Introduction to the RAD Ballet syllabus. A progressive continuation from our movement classes. RAD examinations are prepared and faciliated by our instructors.

PROGRESSIVE BALLET TECHNIQUE (PBTS)

Pilates based fitness program which provides strength and flexibility to the dedicated dancer or an individual who requires these strengths related to other sports.

ADULT BALLET CLASSES BEGINNERS

Advanced – Anybody with the love for dance is welcome. Wether you have previous ballet history or not, come and join a group of like- minded dance enthusiasts.

ADULT BALLET BASED FITNESS

An alternative to gyms and cross-fit training, these classes will incorporate ballet based workouts to sculpt, define and improve overall fitness and posture- looking for a workout- this ones for you.

REPERTOIRE CLASSES

An innovative new concept in training and assessment from the RAD. Suitable from ages 12 through to adult. Students will learn the dance choreography that they have seen on the stage, set to music you all know and love, which includes the well known classics.

SPORTS MASSAGE

This therapy is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissue, facia, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Suitable to prevent and recover from soft tissue injury and alleviate tension in your musculoskeletal system.

REFLEXOLOGY

Also known as zone therapy, is an alternative medical practice using the application of pressure to specific points on the feet. Reflex activates your body’s natural healing process and creates an equilibrium within the body systems. This traditional practice has become a compliment to medicine in its effectiveness and an improvement to quality of life.

CHEMICAL PEELS

A chosen peel solution is applied to the affected area to remove the outermost layers of the skin.This process allows the skin to regenerate new tissues leaving a smoother, less wrinkled appearance. Excellent for scar tissue and collagen production.

Hello Parkmore!

It is with a little sadness that we are having to say goodbye to our beloved studio in Canterbury Crossing... But every cloud has a silver lining - or in our case, a bright pink lining!

We will be moving to 89 11st Street, Parkmore Sandton from the 1st of May 2024. We are incredibly exciting with our new studio - purposefully built for dancing and somatology.
